The beer is on ice, Ricky Fugitt has checked his mic, The Walkin’ M Bulls are rough and ready, the cowboys are chapped up and ready to ride at the WESTY BUCKOUT DUECES.  Come to Westmoreland, Saturday, June 4 where you only have two simple rules:  Keep the beer in the corral and the bull pies in the arena.  10 bucks for the bull ride gate/ 10 bucks for the dance gate or save 3 bucks and bundle em up for both events.  Be sure to enter your youngins in the mutton busting competition at 5:30, limited to the first 15 kids (must be under 50 lbs).  The main shindig kicks off at 6:30 with a grand entry.  Grab the family and head on up to the WESTY BUCKOUT DUECES Saturday, June 4, at 6:30 to watch the youngins buck the sheep and the bulls buck the cowboys.  Kick up your heels to the sound of Ricky Fugitt and have a (beep) kickin good time!  WESTY BUCKOUT DUECES

posted Sep 26, 2010, 9:17 PM by Kyle Hutson

Harvesters is a non-profit organization that provides food to the hungry, and they are coming to Westmoreland. Starting October 1, 2010 on the first Friday of each month, Harvesters will have a truck at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church from noon until 1:00. There are no income guidelines, just food available to anybody that wants to come get it. Volunteers will be on-hand to load food directly into your car. Please feel free to tell anybody you think could use this valuable and free resource.

Don't need food, but do have time for a worthwhile effort? Come to the church and tell them you'd like to help.
